Elysia was raised in Buffalo, NY where she obtained her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Niagara University and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Daemen College.  Throughout her travels, Elysia has worked as a Physical Therapist in four states, including New York, Mississippi, Arizona, and Alaska.

In February 2020, Elysia landed in Alaska with her best friend and fellow ECPT therapist, Chelsea.  They both love to run, hike, bike, downhill ski, cross country ski, and fish- so they decided to stay in Alaska long term.  Elysia has run 10 half marathons so far and plans to run many more in the future.  She also enjoys traveling to new places, visiting multiple new states and traveling abroad to Germany, Austria, Italy, England, Ireland, Panama, Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, Amsterdam and Sri Lanka.

Elysia is certified in Functional Movement Techniques through RockTapeâ, including kinesiology taping and tool-assisted soft tissue mobilization.  She is also a pelvic floor physical therapy specialist, educated through The Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute.  She’s obtained her certification in dry needling and incorporates it with her other hands-on treatment methods.
